Project Overview:

Retained to lead all aspects of key land development for Snaw-Naw-As First Nation and Nanoose Economic Development Corporation (NEDC). We provide ongoing strategic development advisory services to the Nation and NEDC on all land development related activities, and we also provide development management services for key projects. We were engaged to complete a comprehensive Master Plan and Implementation Plan for the priority lands designated for economic development by the community and have been working with the Nanoose Economic Development Corporation (NEDC) and Chief & Council toward realizing the community's objectives outlined in the Community Economic Development Plan while maximizing value and benefits for Nation members.

Roles & Deliverables:

  • Key areas of our role and deliverables include:

    • Facilication of workshops with Snaw-Naw-As Chief and Council and NEDC Board to deliver a Real Estate Strategy;

    • Management of a comprehensive Master Plan & Phasing Plan;

    • Project Delivery Roadmap & Implementation Strategy;

    • Comprehensive Financial Analysis & Development Viability Assessment;

    • Securing grants for Master Plan and pre-development phases;

    • Led capacity building workshops with Chief & Council and staff to expand their capacity to undertake development projects, fostering long-term sustainability for the Nation;

    • Communication Stratgy and reporting at key milestones to Chief, Council, NEDC Board, and community members to gain alignment and adoption of the final Master Plan.

    • Full Service Development Management including (not limited to):

    • Procurement & management of full consultant team including the general contractor, working with BC Housing’s procurement team;

    • Developing comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and work plans;

    • Securing funding and financing to fund pre-development phases.

    • Cost control and budget management including invoice and lender draw coordination.
