Project Overview:
Purpose Driven Development was retained by BC Housing and the operator SARA for Women, a feminist non-profit that provides safe refuge and community-based resources for women in the Fraser Valley, to deliver 62 new second stage and long-term affordable homes for women and children fleeing violence in Mission. The project is being thoughtfully designed with program and office space to support operations and offer programs that support future residents.
Roles & Deliverables:
Key areas of our role and deliverables include:
Comprehensive visioning and priorities work with the SARA for Women Board to develop cohesive, aligned goals for the redevelopment;
Achieved 8-week expedited rezoning with the City of Mission;
Acquisition services to acquire two adjacent parcels on behalf of BC Housing;
Full Service Development Management including (not limited to):
Procurement & management of full consultant team including the general contractor, working with BC Housing’s procurement team;
Developing comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and work plans;
Securing funding and financing to fund pre-development phases.
Cost control and budget management including invoice and lender draw coordination;
Delivery of a financing & funding strategy to help to successfully deliver the project.
