NABOC: Strategies for First Nations Land Development: Unlocking Economic Potential

In April, we were invited to deliver the keynote presentation at the 2024 National Aboriginal Business Council (NABOC) conference with Indigenous leaders from across Canada. Our keynote outlined strategies and best practices for successful First Nations land and economic development, and we were thrilled to connect with over 250 leaders present.

The 4 best practices we outlined are:
1 . An experienced team of professionals and a comprehensive approach are key to successful land development.
2. Establish the financing and funding strategy early in the development process & build key financial relationships.
3. Land development can generate tangible social, cultural, environmental and economic benefits for the community & can deliver long-term economic prosperity.
4. Building necessary capacity for real estate development is necessary – with or without partners.

We are committed to working with First Nations communities to understand their unique values and priorities, and act as their partner to promote long-term well-being and inclusive prosperity.
